History
The “Vierseithof” in Prussian baroque style is one of the most exclusive and beautiful hotels in Brandenburg. In 1781 Friedrich II from Prussia awarded the tradesman Thomas de Vins from Frankfurt the licence to “run a Gera type wool factory”. Between 1782 and 1785 the latter built the manor as his residence and at the same time the “big factory”.
In 1885 the “Vierseithof” building wing was built opposite the manor, the west and east wing then also followed up to the 1920s. The “Vierseithof” (Four-sided court) gets its present day look and its listed name from this. In 1997 it was restored into a 4-star hotel. The hotel opened in the same year.
