History

In 1746 the stage post master Friedrich Heidenreich received approval to run the “Die Post” inn in Müllheim. However the railway ended the stage coach era, the post office experienced highs and lows and in the meantime it was even closed. It was sold in 1955 to the German motel company and a motel was established.

In 1986 the hotelier and chef Heiner Mack acquired the “Alte Post”. Since 1991 an ecological concept has been implemented in the rooms and gardens in loving detail. By using historical building materials Heiner Mack succeeded at the same time in maintaining the charm of the traditional in harmony with the requirements of a modern hotel business.
